Beauty Weekly Tips

Clear and glowing skin is something I’m working towards every day. In order to achieve that, I believe that you have to be gentle with your skin and use natural products free from nasty chemicals. Lately I have been obsessed with essential oils and my current favorite is Rosehip oil. Essential oils have really helped my skin recover from a long period of acne, so if you are or have struggled with acne in the past – this tip might be for you!

Every morning and night I mix a few drops of this oil together with my moisturizer. Some people might be skeptical to put oils on their skin, especially on the face – but I can promise you that it will not do any harm! Rosehip oil is very light and not greasy at all. It’s actually very similar to the oil our skin produce naturally, and that is why this oil won’t clog your pores.

I started using this oil because I heard it’s really good at fading acne scars (or scars in general). I haven’t been using it for that long, but I feel like my skin has improved so much already! I have even been complimented because of my skin, and I honestly never thought that day would come! Acne is horrible and it takes such a long time to get rid of it, and when you finally have managed to get rid of – you might be left with deep scars. I know the struggle and I really hope that this tip can help you as much as it has for me!

Tip of the Week

I know this post is a few days late, but hey – it’s here now! Today I want to share with you one of my absolute favourite products – Eco Tan Invisible Tan.

Even though I’m currently living in sunny Australia, I’m not always as tan as I like to.. So that’s when this product becomes handy! A lot of you have probably tried some kind of self-tanner before, and I’m pretty confident we all have had some kind of bad (read: orange) experience with it as well, unfortunately..

With Eco Tan Invisible Tan, you can build up your tan gradually if you don’t have a lot of color underneath, or you can boost your tan if you already got one! It gives your skin such a radiant glow without turning you into a carrot, and it’s so easy to get an even result.

Another great thing about this product is that you can use it on your face. Since I have been struggling a lot with acne before, I’m always super careful with what I put on to my skin. The last thing I want is to irritate my skin and get heaps of breakouts! I also love the fact that it’s 100% free from toxic chemicals, as well as it’s organic, vegan and cruelty free. I couldn’t ask for more!

Beauty Videos

Today is Tuesday, which means that I have filmed a new video for you! Today’s video is a little makeup tutorial where I show you how to get a sun-kissed look, plus how I do my eyeshadow if I want to add some drama. I love this look and it’s typically how I do my makeup if I’m going out.

By the way, in this tutorial I’m using my all time favorite eyeshadow – ‘Ginger Snap’ from H&M. It’s a orange/copper color – which I absolutely adore! It’s also 100% vegan and cruelty free. So if you are in the same situation as me, and you are trying to switch out all of your non-vegan and non-cruelty free products, this eyeshadow is a great option!

Tip of the Week

‘Tip of the Week’ is a new column that I will be posting once a week.
I will tip about everything from makeup hacks to book tips. Enjoy!

These days, I feel like most people already know how important it is to apply a good primer before you put on your makeup. I have tried many different products, some good and some bad. One thing they all had in common though was the price. I find that most of them can be a little bit expensive. Therefore I’m so glad I found about this little beauty hack that will save you a lot of money!

It was when I was watching one of Shani Grimmond’s makeup tutorials that I found about this little beauty secret. Instead of applying a regular primer underneath your makeup, use ‘Nivea Replenishing Post Shave Balm’. I was attempted to try it after Shani, who is a makeup guru with over 600 000 followers on YouTube said that she swore by it. I have used it under my makeup for about a month now and I have to agree with her – it is simply the best “primer” I have ever tried! The best part is that it cost about $10 AUD and that it last for MONTHS! You can buy it at both Woolworths and Coles, and I would think that they sell it at Priceline Pharmacy as well.
